A DOUBLE ENTRY FOR NEW CENTURY PRODUCTION AT THE LUXOR EGYPTIAN AND EUROPEAN FILM FESTIVAL
Date: 15 January, 2015
After a productive year for New Century Productions, full of several remarkable films in 2014, the company will take part at the 3rd Luxor Egyptian and European Film Festival (24-31 January, 2015). With two of its most recent films; Ot W Far and Décor, New Century will be part of the Nights of Egyptian Cinema programme.
Ot W Far marks a strong comeback of well-established scriptwriter Wahid Hamid after a 5-year hiatus. Directed by Tamer Mohsen, the new feature stars veteran Mahmoud Hemida, Mohamed Farag, with Syrian star Suzan Najm Aldeen. Ot W Far is slated to release across Egyptian theatres on January 21, 2015.
Ahmad Abdalla’s Décor was released in theatres during the last week of 2014, after a successful tour across several film festivals worldwide. The film stars Khaled Abol Naga, Horeya Farghaly and Maged El Kedwany.
The 3rd Luxor Egyptian and European Film Festival is co-organized by Noon Foundation for Culture and Arts (NOONCA), headed by Mohamed Kamel El Kalioubi, and the Egyptian Ministry of Culture. This year, the festival has selected French Cinema to be the guest of honor. This edition will also include two competitions for feature films and short films.
