HELMY’S MADE IN EGYPT REAPS EGP 7.7 MILLION IN ONE WEEK

A week since its release on the eve of Eid Al-Fitr, Ahmed Helmy’s Made in Egypt, directed by Amr Salama, grossed over EGP 7,700,000 by the end of Saturday, 3 August 2014, earning an average of over one million EGP per day. New Century’s production thus claimed its place as the most stable daily revenue earner in the Eid Al-Fitr season.
Screening in over 100 theatres, Made in Egypt set an audience record high over the Eid holidays. Among the most crowded cinemas were Galaxy in Manial, City Stars in Nasr City, Americana Plaza and Galaxy Mall of Arabia in 6th of October City, Al-Tahrir Cinema in Dokki, and San Stefano, City Center Carrefour, and Green Plaza in Alexandria.
