DOLLAR FILM CELEBRATES ITS 65TH ANNIVERSARY

In a huge ceremony held in Aida Hall at Marriott Hotel last Friday night, Dollar Film celebrated its anniversary after 65 years of impressive contributions to Egyptian and Arab cinema. The ceremony witnessed the attendance of an array of distinguished filmmakers, actors and mega stars including those who have collaborated with Dollar Film throughout the years.
The big celebration featured two exclusive surprises; the first was Hany Adel’s live performance of Mohamed Mounir’s hit song Shababeek that was featured in the company’s new film Décor, which premiered at the Cairo International Film Festival right before the event. Dollar Film’s second surprise was a first-time screening of the trailer of Daoud Abdel Sayed’s new film Out of the Ordinary, which is slated to have its World Premiere at the Dubai International Film Festival.
Presented by renowned TV anchor Karim Kojak, the ceremony witnessed the attendance of a line-up of prominent figures including; directors Daoud Abdel Sayed, Ahmad Abdalla, Yousry Nasrallah, Khairy Beshara, Yousef Khaled, Adel Adeeb, Ismail Farouk and Mohamed El-Tahawy; producers Mohamed Hefzy, Mohamed El Adl, Haytham El-Khamissy as well as film critic Samir Farid.
Several well-established musicians and composers have also attended Dollar Film’s anniversary, such as great composer Rageh Daoud and Tamer Karawan; as well as prominent singers Essam Karika, Eisaf and Sandy, in addition to acclaimed media figures Ahmad Maslamani, Tamer Amin and Ramy Radwan.
