CAIRO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL SCREENING VENUES AT KAREEM & ODEON THEATERS

Preparing for the 38th edition of the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) (November 15-24, 2016), Magda Wassef, President of CIFF, announced that the festival’s screening venues will be in downtown Cairo, in addition to the five venues inside the Cairo Opera House. This marks the festival’s comeback to screening films at downtown venues since 2012 for security reasons.
Under its agreement with CIFF, New Century will allocate three of Odeon Cinema’s screening rooms, as well as two of Karim Cinema’s screening rooms, for the festival screenings, starting from November 16th and until the end of the festival. This will bring the number of screening rooms available for the festival up to ten.
